Today I have a card and video to share with you featuring some stenciling using different mediums. To start I cut a card panel to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" and lay it on some scrap paper. I taped down the Halftone Stencil by Altenew to this panel. I used a Versamark ink pad to press through the stencil over the entire panel. I then removed the stencil and wiped it clean with some baby wipes.
Next I poured over some Altenew Embossing Powder in Golden Peach and tipped the excess back into the jar. I used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder over the whole panel. No matter how many times I do embossing I am always wowed by seeing the embossing powder melt.
Next I taped my panel down to my easy clean mat by Tonic and taped the stencil back over it. This time I ofset the stencil a little so the dots where not directly over the embossed ones. I used some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Coral Calypso and applied it over the stencil using a Faster Castell palette knife. I applied it quite thick to add to the dimension of the finished card, and scraped away any excess mousse and put it back into the container. I then removed the stencil carefully and set the panel aside to dry for a few hours and worked on the other elements of my card.
I die cut the Halftone Happy die by Altenew from some Neenah Solar White cardstock 110lb. I then wanted this die cut to have a shadow, but this die does not include a shadow die cut. So I used the same diecut, but used the back of it to run through my Big Shot. I did this by using my Big Shot on tab 1, then a metal shim, the cutting plate, a tan embossing mat by Spellbinders, then the vellum, next was the die cut happy placed upside down, then the next cutting plate. Once I ran this through my machine it left a clear impression on the vellum and in some places it cut through. I then fussy cut along the impression so I was left with a nice vellum border for my die cut happy. I glued the two pieces together using some Ranger Multi Matte Medium. I used this particular glue in case I added too much, as this glue dries clear.
From the vellum I also die cut some of the leaf images from the Altenew Hennah Elements die set. Next I stamped the Birthday sentiment from the Altenew Label Love stamp set using some Versamark ink. I embossed the sentiment using Altenew Embossing Powder in Golden Peach and heat set it with my heat tool.
Now that my technique piece was dry I trimmed it down to 4 x 5 1/4" and adhered it to a side folding card base using Tombow Mono Multi glue. I then adhered the Happy die cut using Ranger Multi Matte Medium. On top of the lower portion of the happy die I adhered the Birthday sentiment using some 3M Mounting tape.
Next I adhered the leaf/frond pieces using Ranger Multi Matte Medium and tucked them just underneath the ends of the H and the Y of the happy die cut. To add a finishing touch to this card I used some Nuvo Crystal drops in Morning Dew and Gloss White and added a few drops here and there.
I hope that you like my card for today. If you do please leave me a comment below. I would love to hear from you. Also, if you like my video please give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.
